This course makes you think, research, and challenge yourself in order to persuade people on any given topic. The skills you learn in this course you can use in other classes as well as everyday life. The layout of the assignments and the research required has helped me understand a topic that I have always been interested in learning more about but never had the drive to research. Having class discussions, and one-on-one meetings with Wendy, has helped me grow as an artist and a person. This course has made my senior thesis stronger in so many ways; I would have not been as well-rounded about the topic I have decided to research, and I now have more confidence in myself and my work. I feel that this course should be a requirement for most, if not all, majors. I also feel that a lot of students work falls short of being what it could be because of the lack of research or understanding about what we want to create and express.

The class ended close to a year ago and I still use the concepts taught within to formulate my ideas and improve my art and story telling. Knowing how to put random thoughts into cohesive ideas has been invaluable to me in my writing. The most powerful thing I learned in that class was how to give a presentation. That will be useful for as long as I'm in a professional environment.

LA190 was one of the most influential courses I've taken. My high school education never once taught or mentioned events currently happening the in world. I felt "bubbleized." After my first day in the course, I already felt as though I had a better understanding of my current world. This course provided me with the tools necessary to be a well-informed individual.

This course helped me build a more professional look and understanding to presentations as well as gave me great info on how to accurately and thoroughly research topics or certain mediums. The class was not only helpful from a business standpoint, but very inspiring. Being able to learn, research and discover more about something I am passionate in changing or passionate about period and how I could help. This course was probably, in my own opinion, the best LA class I've taken at CCAD so far.
